We captured the beauty of the universe!

Ever wondered what it's like to have that beautiful full moon you see in the sky at night inside a crystal-clear ball of glass right in your room? Imagine having the full moon on your desk, or maybe Saturn, or even the whole galaxy. This is exactly the reason why we created the concept of the SkySphere™.

It all started...

...as all great things do, with an existential crisis and a spilled cup of coffee.

Olivia Vega, the founder of Skybox, was going through a rough patch.

After one too many “inspiring” quotes on Instagram and a disastrous attempt at yoga, she found herself staring up at the stars, hoping the universe would give her a sign.

But the universe, being mysterious and a little sassy, gave her nothing but a sore neck and a persistent feeling that she’d missed the mark.

-

One night..

…while doing her usual routine of pondering life’s meaning (and eating a very questionable amount of ice cream), she had a thought: “What if the universe could fit in the palm of your hand?”

What if, instead of chasing signs and symbols across the night sky, you could literally bring them into your living room?

It was a wild idea born out of too much chocolate and a good dose of frustration, but she had her "eureka" moment.

So, she got to work. Or, more accurately, she made a huge mess in her apartment trying to figure out how to stuff the universe into a glass ball.

There were broken prototypes, burned fingers, and one unfortunate incident where she accidentally engraved what looked like a mutant starfish instead of a nebula.

But she didn't give up...

She kept going, fueled by the sheer determination that comes when you’ve told everyone at brunch you’re working on a “big project” and now have no choice but to make it real.

Finally, after months of trial, error, and lots of weird space documentaries, Olivia and her small team created the first SkySphere®. It was a crystal ball with an engraving of what looked like a half of a moon. It was beautiful of course, but, a bit hilarious. It looked as if somebody was just carving the moon out of stone and then suddenly, felt tired and gave up the whole thing. Or those moments when your Windows PC tells you that the application is loading, then an error message pops up saying "loading stopped, please call someone..."

Olivia couldn’t help but laugh. “Great,” she thought, “at least I’ve made half of it, the rest is easy. Yet, there was something magical about it.

When she held it in her hands, it felt like she was holding a tiny piece of the universe—a comforting reminder that even when life feels chaotic, the stars above remain constant.

Word got out...

...and soon people were flocking to buy their own little pieces of the cosmos. Sure, some people used the crystal balls for meditation or manifestation, but others? They used them as paperweights, Instagram props, or (in one case) to scare off their nosy neighbor with their "mystical powers." Whatever the reason, people loved them.

And here’s the kicker: folks started sending Olivia heartfelt messages, telling her how their crystal balls had genuinely changed their lives. One woman claimed hers helped her finally make a decision on which show to binge next (a big life decision, obviously). Another swore that after gazing into her crystal ball, her cat finally started using the litter box again. Coincidence? Probably. But still, it was nice to think the universe was lending a hand (or paw).

At the end of the day, the SkySphere® became more than just a pretty object. It is a reminder to laugh at life’s absurdities, to find wonder in the everyday, and to always keep a little bit of cosmic magic close by—whether for guidance, inspiration, or just because they looked really cool on the coffee table.

So, if you're feeling lost, remember: the universe may not always have answers, but at least now you can hold it in your hands, give it a good shake (not literally, they're delicate!), and keep on rolling with the stars.
